This special high performance composite rudder case and tiller stub is for the F-22's high aspect foil section. The optional all carbon case with clear coat finish is shown
The case is infused with an epoxy vinylester resin and comes with a one year guarantee against breakage.
It is available in either carbon/glass or all carbon versions. Standard finish is a white gelcoat, with a thin glass backup layer for durability, while the clear coat all carbon case uses a light carbon twill fabric for backup. Weight of the carbon/glass case and tiller stub is 3.0kg (6.6lbs).
